Glyphosate - a rose by another name? While just a small percentage of Americans are gluten intolerant, all of us are Glyphosate intolerant. Glyphosate is now present in all American wheat genetically modified to be RoundUp ready. Yup, Glyphosate is RoundUp! Even when present in trace amounts, Glyphosate toxicity can mimic gluten intolerance. There is much controversy here about Glyphosate safety. How much? How long? And sadly, Monsanto (the patent owner) can control the information flow about Glyphosate, including research. Because of that, we have no way of knowing whether it is safe at any amount for any length of time. The precautionary principle (do no harm) encourages us to buy non Roundup tainted foods. Grains and peppermint and spearmint are the most highly contaminated with the stuff. So buy organic!
